Rising Rivals legal
Privacy Policy
Effective September 12, 2026
Rising Rivals is developed by XStorm Collective. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Game data and iCloud saves
Rising Rivals stores settings, progression, unlocked items, gameplay statistics, purchase and entitlement records, and rewarded-ad claim state on your device. Reward claim state helps prevent duplicate rewards. When iCloud is available, the app syncs recoverable progression and related purchase and entitlement records through Apple's iCloud key-value storage associated with your Apple account. This can restore progress across devices or after reinstalling. The app does not upload that saved profile to XStorm Collective's servers or Google's advertising service.
Apple services and purchases
If you use Game Center, Apple processes your Game Center identity, achievements, leaderboard scores, and multiplayer activity. Other players may see your Game Center name and avatar. Rising Rivals uses Game Center information on your device for these features. If you use the referral feature, the app sends Game Center identity information to our Cloudflare-hosted service to verify referrals, prevent repeat claims, and award referral coins. This referral information is used for those purposes and is separate from gameplay analytics and advertising. Cloudflare processes the information under its privacy policy.
Apple processes in-app payments. Rising Rivals uses product identifiers and verified transaction records to grant purchases, restore eligible access, and prevent duplicate delivery. XStorm Collective does not receive your payment-card details. Apple handles its services under its privacy policy.
Gameplay analytics
Rising Rivals sends limited gameplay and product-interaction events to an XStorm Collective service hosted by Cloudflare. These include app version, build and platform; screens and Store viewed; rewarded-ad offers and completions; game mode and match outcome; and measurements such as score, duration, rows and blocks cleared, and highest level. The app also sends challenge-completion events with predefined challenge categories, catalog identifiers, and counts. These catalog identifiers describe challenges, not players. Apple MetricKit may provide crash counts from previous sessions; the app sends counts, not crash stack traces or full diagnostic reports. We use gameplay analytics to understand feature usage and improve game balance and reliability.
The gameplay measurements stored in Cloudflare Analytics Engine contain no player, account, device, advertising, installation, or request identifier, IP address, or location. They are separate from notification records and service logs and are not used to track activity across other companies' apps or websites. This does not mean all information processed by the app's services is anonymous.
Service requests and operational logs
Cloudflare hosts our analytics endpoint and public announcement feed. Requests to these services generate retained operational logs that can include your IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, user-agent and app-version information, requested URL, time, and other request metadata. Location inferred from an IP address is not GPS location. These logs support service operation and troubleshooting. Unlike the gameplay measurements above, request metadata in these logs remains associated with the IP address. The analytics request body is not stored in these invocation logs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for its handling of information.
Updates and optional push notifications
The app can retrieve public release announcements without a player account. If you enable push alerts, our Cloudflare-hosted notification service stores an installation identifier, Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token, delivery environment, app build, pack and arcade notification preferences, last update time, and a hashed credential used to protect subscription updates. It also records which announcements were accepted by APNs for that installation to avoid duplicate sends. These identifiers relate to an app installation or device, not an XStorm Collective account. Apple processes the token and notification payload to deliver alerts.
You can change pack and arcade alerts in the app's Updates controls. A server preference change takes effect after it is successfully saved; if a save fails, retry when connected. You can disable alerts immediately in iOS Settings → Notifications → Rising Rivals. Turning alerts off does not delete the stored subscription or delivery history.
Optional rewarded ads
Rising Rivals offers optional Google AdMob ads for in-game rewards, including eligible match and objective rewards. The offer shows the reward available. You can decline an offer and continue playing; declining does not remove rewards you have already earned.
When you first open the app, Apple may show its App Tracking Transparency prompt if you have not previously made a choice. You can allow or deny tracking, or leave the choice unchanged; this permission is not required to play. When you choose to watch a rewarded ad, the app checks consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting the ad. Depending on your region and Google's configuration, a consent form or privacy choices may be presented. When Google requires it, you can revisit available choices at Settings → About → Ad Privacy Choices. If those choices cannot be opened, check your connection and try again. If tracking is not authorized, the app requests ads without Apple's authorized tracking status.
Google may process IP addresses and approximate location, device and advertising identifiers, ad interactions, product interactions, crash and other diagnostics, and performance data for advertising, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, and service operation and improvement. Depending on permissions and applicable choices, identifiers may be used to track activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising. These advertising-service practices are separate from our gameplay analytics. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information for advertising.
Retention and deleting data
Deleting Rising Rivals removes its local app data from that device, but does not itself delete iCloud saves, Apple's Game Center or purchase records, previously collected service data, or Google's data. A cloud save or restored purchase may restore progress or access later. Use Apple's account and iCloud controls for available options to manage information held by Apple.
Notification subscriptions are excluded from sending after 90 days without a refresh from the app; this is a sending cutoff, not a deletion deadline. The service removes invalid APNs tokens when detected during sending and replaces older subscriptions for the same token when a new registration succeeds. There is no automatic deletion deadline specified here for remaining subscription records, delivery history, gameplay analytics, or operational logs. Their retention depends on the service's storage settings and operational handling. Apple and Google retain information under their own policies.
For questions about information held by XStorm Collective or to request deletion, use the Rising Rivals support page. Gameplay analytics without identifiers may not be attributable to a particular player. Please do not send passwords, subscription credentials, or payment-card information with a request.
